Description
ABOUT THE FORUM
The epidemic of trauma and toxic stress is destructive to Chicago’s urban youth – damaging brain and cognitive development, fueling substance abuse and violent behavior, and undermining the best efforts to raise performance and promote a healthy, productive lifestyle. This educational forum will explore the growing use of a simple, evidence-based meditation technique in schools nationwide for improving grades, test scores, and graduation rates and reducing suspensions, expulsions, dropouts, and violence.
